1) Equip your server linkpearl under Menu -> Linkshell -> Set as No. 1.
You can now communicate with anyone on the server by typing "/l" followed by your message.

2) Unlock your Records of Eminence (RoE) Quests. Equip your Destrier Beret, Chocobo Shirt, and Emperor Band.
Find your RoE under Menu-> Quests -> Objective List -> Tutorial -> Basics -> First Step Forward.

3) Begin completing your Nation's Missions.

4) At level 18, you can unlock your Support or Subjob.

5) At level 30, you can unlock an advanced job.

6) At level 40 and level 50 you can obtain your first Artifact (AF) Weapon and Armor, respectively.

7) At level 50, you may begin your Limit Break (LB) quests to raise your level cap.

8) At level 75 and level 80, you may begin collecting Relic (AF2) or Empyrean (AF3) Armor, respectively.
